Q. What materials do you offer?
Sunroom – Thermally broken aluminum with insulated panel walls. Double glazed glass windows. Vinyl structure with double glazed glass windows.
Patio covers – Aluminum frames with aluminum or wood posts and beams.
Pergolas – Cedar or custom stained Fir posts, beams and rafters.
Q. What is the slope of a patio cover?
The slope is usually ½” per ft. The minimum is ¼” per ft. but it can be 1” per ft if requested and possible.
Q. What aluminum colors can I choose from?
Patio covers: White or black aluminum frames for patio covers cost the same. Any other color is custom powder coated at an extra cost.
Sunrooms frames are white but can be powder coated to a custom color at extra cost. Wood accents can be stained to the desired color.

Q. How much snow can the patio covers or sunrooms take on?
They can hold approximately 40-50 lbs per square ft. Depending on the location, the structural design will vary to comply with the requested load in that area.

Q. Does a vinyl deck require maintenance?
Virtually maintenance-free, a vinyl deck only needs a quick wash a few times a year with soap and water. Avoid chemical products to extend the life of your vinyl. Please refer to the Care and cleaning of your Econowise Patio Cover.
Q. Do you have a showroom?
Our shop is located at 12651 80th Ave. in Surrey. The office itself is a modular sunroom. However, our staff is not there on a regular schedule. We display our materials and products at every home show in the area See the list. Our sales team can show you samples of the components and materials we use, and share many pictures of installations we have done.
Q. What is powder coated aluminum?
Powder coating is a process to apply color to metal. It is one of the most economical, long-lasting, and most color-durable quality finishes available on virtually any type of metal. Powder coated surfaces are more resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and wearing than other finishes.

Q. What kind of waterproof vinyl do you install?
We install 68 ml thick Valordek or Duradek vinyl that is made of PVC with UV screens and stabilizers to prevent cracking, embrittlement and decoloration. It has been tested to withstand temperatures ranging from -40 C to 80 C and the seams are heat welded avoiding lifting or leaks.
Q. Can your aluminum structures support strong winds?
Yes. Aluminum patio covers and sunroom structures can resist gusts of wind up to 100 km/h equivalent to a Category 1 hurricane. British Columbia has very rarely been hit by hurricanes or tornados.
